The project

Kevin Hagemoser is an Operations Integrator who helps business owners reduce overwhelm and grow their companies. He had an existing website that no longer reflected his brand and was limited in the pages and content it offered.

What I worked on

I owned the project end to end: I redesigned the site in Figma, built the new version with Nuxt and Tailwind CSS, expanded it with pages beyond the original site, deployed it to a Linux server, and continue to host and maintain it today.

  • Reviewed Kevin's existing website to identify what wasn't serving his brand or his services.
  • Designed a new look and feel in Figma that was more unique to his brand than the original site.
  • Expanded the site's structure with additional pages beyond what the original site had.
  • Developed the redesigned site with Nuxt, Vue, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Provisioned and configured a Linux server and deployed the application to it.
  • Continue to host and maintain the site on an ongoing basis.

The system

Nuxt and Vue power the site's frontend.

Tailwind CSS drives the styling and responsive layout.

A self-managed Linux server hosts the production deployment.

Decisions that mattered

Redesigning in Figma before writing code

Instead of carrying over the old site's design, I designed a new visual direction in Figma first, so the site's look and feel could be made more distinct to Kevin's brand before any development started.

Expanding beyond the original page set

The original site was limited in what it covered, so I added new pages to give his services and brand more room, rather than just re-skinning the existing structure.

Owning hosting long-term

I deployed the site to a Linux server I manage myself and have continued maintaining it since launch, so Kevin has a single point of contact for the site rather than needing to manage hosting separately.

What shipped

  • Launched a redesigned website with a brand identity more distinct and unique to Kevin than the original site.
  • Expanded the site with additional pages beyond the original structure.
  • Delivered a production deployment on a self-managed Linux server that I continue to maintain today.

Looking back

This project was a good reminder that a redesign isn't just a visual refresh — going through Figma first and expanding the page structure gave Kevin's brand more room than a like-for-like rebuild of the old site would have.
